Before getting braces, it’s important to have a thorough check-up and address any problem areas in your mouth.
Ideally you would have your cavities filled before you get braces, but this doesn’t mean if you develop a cavity you can’t get it filled until after your braces come off.
Braces are a great way to get a beautiful smile, but unfortunately they can also trap plaque and food, leading to a greater likelihood of you developing cavities.
Keep your teeth clean by brushing and flossing regularly, and try to keep your oral health in good shape while you have braces.
