7 Types of Enamel-Eroding Foods

Any acidic food or beverage can contribute to tooth enamel erosion. Also known as acid wear, dental erosion is a common oral condition that causes a tooth enamel loss for adult and baby teeth.

At an early stage, enamel damage can be hard to detect; thus it’s important that you have your regular dental checkups so the issue can be spotted and treated early. This allows you to avoid future intensive and lengthy procedures.

Treatments for dental erosion may involve replacing of lost surface of the tooth with filling materials or crowns.

You must visit your dental at least twice a year so they will be able to identify the tooth erosion early, determine the source, and help you develop techniques for the purpose of preventing further dental erosion and acid wear.
