Will I lose my teeth to gum disease?

Bleeding gums can be one of the signs of gum disease.

Depending on when you present with the disease severity will influence the answer to that question.

Periodontal disease is a serious inflammatory disease that is caused by a bacterial infection, and leads to destruction of the attachment fibers and supporting bone that hold your teeth in your mouth.

Provided we do this before bone loss has occurred close to the root tip (and the teeth are becoming loose); then this is usually quite predictable.

Left untreated, teeth can become loose and fall out.
